As many of you know, I am an undergraduate studying Art and Psychology. As part of my first year course we have a 'module' project on performance, assessed separately on each week. For this week's (yesterday's) session we were required to plan and execute a performance, either solo or with a group... being a 'brave 'un' I chose to go solo.

In my performance, I question communication between the artist and the audience and the subject of ownership, by asking the spectators/audience to splash me with paint, which makes them momentary artists and because they created the 'art' which includes me, that makes them the owners of the work - by extension, owning me. Of course this is very conceptual, but it seemed to be a well-received idea.

The photo was taken by my boyfriend (also does art), 6.5.09 on the front-yard of the art department building in my university.
